Scouting Structure

There are many moving pieces that come together to create our Scouting Program.

  1. The National BSA Office creates the curriculum and program structure.
  2. Our District: Tapawingo District
  3. Our Council: The Mountain West Council
  4. The Cathedral of the Rockies (COTR), Downtown Campus has an affiliation agreement with Pack 100 and provides a safe space for us to meet. We do several service projects with COTR each year. Our pack welcomes families of all faiths and worship backgrounds. The faith requirements for Cub Scouts are broad and do not require adherence to any particular religion, but they do require a Cub Scout to think about faith and to discuss it at home.
  5. VFW Post 4000 is our Charter Organization. A charter organization provides oversight and organization cooperation with service projects every year.
  6. Pack 100 – this is us!!

Boise has several Cub Packs around town.

Packs are led by a Cubmaster who makes sure the programs are being followed and that everyone is having fun.

Our Pack includes Youth Members and Adult Leaders.

In the background, our Pack Committee includes adult leaders and parents who work together to help the Pack operate. We encourage parents to attend Committee meetings.

The Pack is made up of Dens! (This is where most of the fun happens!)
