Ready to Join Pack 100?

Most families start by coming to an Open House or just reaching out to us directly. Once you're ready to make it official, signing up takes a few straightforward steps: registering with Scouting America, paying dues, and getting your Scout set up with a uniform. The checklist below walks you through each one.

Steps to join

  1. Register with Scouting America

Every scout starts with an official Scouting America registration. The Scouting America registration fee is $90 per year, paid directly to them when you register.

  2. Pay your pack dues

Your pack's dues are $100 per year. With the Scouting America registration fee, that's about $190 per year all in. We will walk you through paying your pack dues when you join.

  3. Get the uniform and handbook

A uniform and handbook get your new Scout meeting-ready. This step covers what we recommend, what is optional, and what the pack provides.

We will walk you through the rest, step by step, once you join.

Open to All

Pack 100 is open to both boys and girls in Kindergarten through Fifth grade. We're a non-denominational, inter-faith pack that draws families from the North End of Boise and the neighborhoods around it. If you live nearby and want a place where your kid gets known by name, you're in the right spot.

What We Do as a Pack

We meet most Mondays, 6 to 7 PM, during the school year at Cathedral of the Rockies. Some weeks are den meetings, others are pack meetings, hikes, bike rides, or field trips. Dens stay small, 6 to 12 kids, so your Scout gets noticed. Big moments through the year include campouts, the Pinewood Derby, swim safety training, the Veterans Day Parade, a tour of the Idaho State Capitol, and our Blue and Gold Banquet. The pack runs on parent volunteers, so we do count on families to pitch in where they can.

Dues and What They Cover

Annual dues are $190 total per Scout. Of that, $90 goes directly to Scouting America for national registration and accident and liability insurance. The remaining $100 stays with the pack and covers campouts, Pinewood Derby, Day Camp, field trips, advancement awards, and leader registrations. You can pay by cash, check, or Venmo, and scholarships are available for both portions. Just ask any leader for info.

Uniform and handbook

We recommend a uniform shirt, patches, uniform pants, a hat and the handbook. The pack provides a neckerchief.

Shop online at the official Scout Shop (opens in a new tab) or stop by in person at 8901 W. Franklin Rd Boise, ID 83709.
