Celebrating our Country and Veterans
November was a special month for the Pack 100 Cub Scouts as it was a time to celebrate and honor our veterans. This year, our pack had the opportunity to participate in several events that helped us learn more about the sacrifices made by our veterans.
We were visited by our Charter Organization representatives from the VFW Post 4000 who shared their experiences serving our country. The cubs were excited to meet them and came with lots of questions to ask. It was a fun pack meeting as we learned more about their service.
Later in the month, the cubs attended the Boise Veteran’s Day parade in their uniforms. It was a great opportunity for us to show our support and gratitude to our veterans. The parade was a wonderful celebration of the service and sacrifice of our veterans.
In addition to the parade, we also had a flag retirement ceremony back in October at our camp-fire meet-up. This was another opportunity for us to learn about the importance of the American flag and the values it represents.
